Trait Conflict Wheel — Instructions

This trait wheel is designed for exploring character traits and their interconnected conflicts. Mainly thought up as a tool for visualizing complex personality traits between multiple characters, with varying levels of interpersonal friction.

• Selecting a trait moves it to the center of the wheel.
• In the sidebar you’ll be able to read an excerpt of that trait’s entry.
• With a selected trait, the inner ring shows the traits which are likely to directly conflict.
• Hover over a conflicting trait to see the traits that it conflicts with.
• Or hover over traits in the outer rings to see how they connect to the selected trait and its conflicting traits.
• Select a different trait at any time to explore its conflicts and connections.
• You can also search for specific traits in the search bar.

For further reading I HIGHLY suggest reading both the Negative Trait thesaurus and the Positive Trait thesaurus by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi which were the sources for this wheel. The books go much much further into the exploration of character traits.
